its citizens by having the majority of its top selling products produced there. By doing so, Apple and other American companies are contributing to an environment that creates these horrendous "cancer villages." If Apple and Al Gore chose to cease all production in China, until its government regulates the environment in a similar fashion to the U.S., it would send a clear signal to the Chinese that the world's worst polluter will no longer be rewarded economically.
Since Apple went out of its way to establish its 'green' credentials by withdrawing from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, it would be appropriate (and less hypocritical) if Apple and Al Gore actually "walked the talk." Read previous Apple hypocrisy postings here, here and here.
