Read here. As we wrote about previously, green activists and associated regulators are destroying the California business environment. Since that posting, it's now being reported that California's corporate tax return revenues has fallen off a cliff, to the tune of a 57% decrease over the last year. (Definitely lends credence to the anecdotal evidence that companies are fleeing California.)
California is literally becoming a failed-state. The primary responsible destroyers include not only green activists, but also public sector unions. These two forces represent a destructive combination that every other state should attempt to avoid.
Those that do so successfully should find it easy to market themselves as an anti-zombie state, which should win them the eventual relocations of California companies.
Welcome to California... the place where dreams are made!
Well, that's how it used to be seen. Not anymore. And the 'greening' of California is at the heart of its declining economy. California dreamed it could out-do Spain... and look at Spain. The "Spanish Model", so admired even by President Obama, has been an absolute disaster. Spain's economy is in tatters. At least Spain now recognizes you cannot rely on 'renewables' to drive a modern economy. Renewable energy is just too costly, too inefficient, too unreliable and too ineffective as a replacement for cheap, efficient, reliable and effective fossil fuel energy. And all this economic pain is for what... that it might achieve a drop in temperature that is just so insignificant,it hardly matters at all? California's policies are tantamount to economic suicide.
Now what? Well... welcome to Texas... the place where dreams are made!
