For something that has been "debunked many times", climate scientists sure seem to be trying hard to explain why there is a hiatus....

Jan Freed: All the official empirical temperature datasets show a 'stall,' 'pause,' 'hiatus' or whatever you want to call it. The climate record temperature evidence has not been "debunked" by a single climate research agency. It is what it is.

Of course, there are fringe individual scientists with political agendas who refuse to accept empirical reality and thus fabricate data to "prove" their case. Unethical scientists do this all the time - it's been estimated that over 50% of peer reviewed articles incorporate literal scientific fraud. (for your review: http://www.theguardian.com/science/blog/2012/nov/02/scientific-fraud-good-science)

You are welcome to respond with your own actual analysis of the major temperature datasets from either NOAA, GISS or UK Met Office to prove your "debunked" claim. If your next response does not provide proof (your 'own' analysis, please), don't bother.

Trust me, I will delete your next B.S. comment about the "debunked" myth. Hey, then at least you will be freed up to move onto the next conspiracy forum to claim it's been debunked that Americans landed on the moon.

@Jan Freed
Of course it's been debunked Jan. When the global average temp is rising (as it did between 1978 and 1998) it's scary-scary global warming. But when the temp refuses to play ball it means nothing. Debunked! Just ignore it. Imagine it's in the ocean!
We know the game.

We all know that correlation does not imply causation. But what few realize is that the *absence* of correlation implies the *absence* of causation.

The hiatus has been debunked many times, no matter how you spin it, dudes.
